Field Studies / Study 001

Very Long Slow Distance

The idea

You run. We carry the rest.

Field Studies creates supported relay runs that sit somewhere between race, roadtrip, field trip and shared challenge.

We take care of route planning, logistics, food, drinks, coffee, support stops, tracking and the small details that make a long effort possible.

The goal is simple: make big running adventures accessible without losing the raw feeling of being out there with your crew.

Start

Thursday to Prague. Friday morning start.

The crew travels to Prague, checks gear, prepares food and sets up the first continuous route attempt back to Berlin.

Format

One runner. One bike. One moving team.

At any time one person runs while another accompanies by bike. The active pair can switch whenever needed. At fixed stops, the wider crew regroups, rests and takes over.

Support

Six stops as temporary basecamps.

Each stop is used for food, water, coffee, charging, clothing changes, navigation checks, short rest and team swaps. The route is long, but the system keeps it held together.

Fuel

Meals, gels, electrolytes, coffee.

Vegetarian or vegan food, homemade gels, electrolyte mixes and proper coffee. Simple ingredients, high function, no unnecessary compromise.

Record

The watch is the baton.

A single watch tracks the full route continuously and gets passed from runner to runner. If the team reaches Berlin under 48 hours, the first P2B route record is set.

PragueBerlin

The first run is internal: a proof of concept, a route attempt and a way to understand what a fully supported relay needs before we open Field Studies to others.

The system

Supported does not mean softened.

Field Studies is built around the invisible work that makes a long effort possible: logistics, fuel, timing, safety, recovery and crew rhythm.

Route & logistics

Route planning, checkpoints, support vehicles, stop timing, equipment lists and contingency plans.

01 / Route

Food & coffee

Warm meals, snacks, gels, electrolytes and coffee as part of the experience — simple, good and performance-minded.

02 / Fuel

Crew & recovery

A rhythm for resting, eating, changing, charging, moving and keeping the group together through day and night.

03 / Crew

Archive & ranking

Each route can hold its own archive: teams, times, route records, stories and learnings from every attempt.

04 / Record

A field trip for runners. Long enough to change the day. Simple enough to start.

Principles

How we move.

01

Less screen. More weather.

02

Competition is welcome. Crew comes first.

03

Good food is part of the performance.

04

Supported does not mean softened.

05

Leave the route better than we found it.
